Five things I’ll be watching closely in 2011

I’m looking to see a few tipping points in 2011 and, quite honestly, I’m strangely optimistic that the new year will bring some positive change, even if it’s unlikely to be around climate policy. The energy transition we’re in has been slow, but in retrospect, we’ve come a long way on many fronts. My Clean Break column today — the last one of the year — takes a look at five areas I’ll be watching closely. There are more, of course, but the limitations of print kept me to five.

Happy New Year to all.

5 points is not just a limitation of print, but of listeners/readers;-) For any presentation to the masses, a slightly altered KISS is called for- Keep It Short, Stupid!

It will be interesting to see how the Leaf and Volt do in Canada- I really think, for now, the Volt will excel in areas with weather extremes until batteries get much better- but I am pulling for both. I’ve had the opportunity to test drive each one over the last few weeks, and if I could afford it, I’d buy one of each;-)

Have a good New Year, Tyler, and see you next year!
