Unfortunately the use of the words "Sham and Fraud" does not constitute an analysis, but rather an inflammatory political statement that does little to create a platform for dialog and discussion. It provided no reason. To me it is more of a political sound bite. Sadly, had Gore responded in a more analytical and constructive tone, his message would have had substantially more impact. Kind of like Jimmy Carter using the word Holocaust to describe the current middle east situation. Right message, but the inflammatory words alienate even the supporters.

Tyler,

From the other side of the border I completely agree with both you and Al Gore's stand on the Canadian Climate Plan, or lack thereof.

I only hope your politicians, current and former, will keep up their muck raking and do more than wag a few fingers at us in the US tool After all we gave you acid rain.

So let's give the ones who threaten our future no moment's peace.

You are absolutely right that Gore has a right and responsibility to speak out on Canadian environmental policies, just as Canadians have the right the speak out on US policies. The US and Canada share more that just a legal border. We share air, water and wildlife. We have a shared heritage and a shared future. I hope that we continue to dialog openly, intelligently and respectfully to solve the common challenges that face us. Global warming is global, and requires a new paradigm of global collaboration to address it.
