Conservation, behaviour and “hardwire” measures
Just an FYI: My Clean Beak column today looks at how small behavioural changes in a population can have a large impact when it comes to reducing energy consumption. I also look at the idea of “hard-wiring” the population with technologies that result in energy efficiencies but don’t do much in the way of changing consumption habits. Both approaches are good and needed, and both can produce (often large) net economic benefits.
Also, here’s an earlier story I forgot to link. It’s basically a summary of a report that looks at the convergence of trends/market drivers that are creating great investment opportunities for clean-energy providers and the companies that supply them technology. The report was prepared by my friend MacMurray Whale, alternative energy analyst at Sprott Securities.
