Year ends strong on cleantech investments
The Cleantech Venture Network released its year-end investment figures for the sector. The year 2006 saw $2.9 billion (U.S.) invested, a 78 per cent increase over the previous year. The fourth quarter saw $613 million invested, down from Q3′s $933 million but still 22 per cent higher on a year-over-year basis.
More in-depth figures will be released at the Cleantech Forum in San Francisco in late February.
