Market still has appetite for solar IPOs
Good news for ATS Automation/Photowatt. Shares of Canadian Solar Inc. rose as much as 12 per cent today after the company’s initial public offering. CSI, which is incorporated in Canada but has its manufacturing assets in China, raised $115.5 million in the offering, which is on the high end of analysts’ expectations. It’s a good barometer of Photowatt’s upcoming IPO. ATS, by the way, owns about 9 per cent of CSI.
