The energy-in vs energy-out of digging them up as well as the balancing of the equation carbon-displaced vs carbon-released arrived at through mucking about with the hydrology of this area, let alone the other value losses of placing these stresses onto our wilderness areas, on top of they effects they will be subject to through climate change, makes me quite resistant to ideas such as this.
