Solar PV market: A freight train that can’t be stopped
Thanks to fellow blogster Rob Hyndman for alerting me to this New York Times article this morning on the surging share prices of publicly traded solar PV companies in recent months, years.
“Today, tumult in oil-producing places like the Middle East and Venezuela is roiling markets. Strong demand for electricity has contributed to increases in the prices of coal and natural gas. And these dire developments have been a boon for companies that make devices such as silicon wafers and rooftop panels that convert solar energy.”
It’s another decent overview of why these stocks are attracting so much investor interest these days.
