Jon Hykawy interviewed on Wall Street Transcript
The Wall Street Transcript has released a new report on Canadian technology companies, including those focused on the alternative energy market. Here is a link to an excerpt Q&A with analyst Jon Hykawy of Fraser Mackenzie Ltd. in Toronto. He more or less dismisses fuel cell plays such as Ballard and Hydrogenics because of their focus on PEM fuel cell technology and transportation applications. The two companies in the area he does like are Vancouver-based VRB Power Systems, a developer of stationary power storage technology, and Kingston-based Fuel Cell Technologies, which has developed solid oxide fuel cells that can provide co-generation of power and heat for businesses and residences. Hykawy does a great job of explaining both companies and what they do.
